1. What does ORBCOMM do?
ORBCOMM provides global data services (similar to 2-way paging or email) via low-Earth orbit (LEO) Satellites and ground infrastructure.


2. How do I obtain the necessary hardware for our solutions?
ORBCOMM Type Approved subscriber communicators and antennas are available from various manufacturers.  Click here for information on how to contact them.

3. How does the ORBCOMM system work?
Messages can be sent to and from the remote asset via an e-mail message from any e-mail account.  Messages can also be sent between remote assets.  For a more detailed explanation of how the ORBCOMM system works, see the Technical Information section.


4. How much does the ORBCOMM service cost?

Costs are based on quantity of data sent and frequency of messaging. Discounts may be offered by the VAR based on number of units and high volume sales.


5. So how do I get ORBCOMM service?
Please contact an ORBCOMM representative by calling 1-800 ORBCOMM.  We can put you in touch with the appropriate value added reseller that will meet your needs.  Or, if you would like information about becoming a reseller, please contact us.


6. Does ORBCOMM provide voice service?
The network supports packet data only.


7.The device I am using has ORBCOMM service.. Where can I get support?
Devices that use ORBCOMM.  The best place to start is where you originally purchased your device.  Your service provider or VAR will provides service for all support issues.   If you are a service provider or VAR in need of assistance, you can contact us .
